Okay, advanced search boffins out there; what's the command to query a search engine for the existence of an inbound link, for any site, from any site?

I'm trying to find out if a link partner has deleted a link to one of my sites. The partner's website is huge so there's no way I'm doing a manual check :-)

Anyone know the shortcut?

Email them and ask the question.

Using a search engine risks both false positives (it was there last time it was spidered, but isn't any more) and false negatives (wasn't found last time it was spidered, but is there).

That’s what I do, I have a XL sheet with link information, site name, email address, link location & contact name and I try every 3 mths to go through it to make sure the link is still in place if not an email is sent

No can do. Let's just say this issue is politically sensitive.

So I thought I could find out by myself. I know it's possible, I just can't remember how the command goes.

I'll play with advanced search for a while.
