As the controvercy which is going between one way linking and reciprocal linking. Well, I was doing reciprocal so far meanwhile I got many requests to "Article Swapping" instead of "Reciprocal Linking". My problem is with that approach, Is Article Swapping having a good replacement of Reciprocal Linking? Is this a much fruitful way to optimize your main Keywords by doing so? I am looking for suggestion here.

Thanks!

It's definitely a great alternative to link building. However, it's not likely yet that it will replace link building as alot of webmasters are not on the ball in terms of the value of this type of trade, and it takes more work.

As well, theres the whole issue of writing a lot of great, non duplicate articles.

I do a mix of one ways, a few paid, recips and article links.

I think that it's not proper to oppose the practices in this context, because link building is just a wider concept including various ways of acquiring backlinks. The articles exchange is one of them.
