My new site got one way link on two sites, one a PR7 site where i got linked is PR5 page and another a PR5 site providing me link for 15 days on their home page.

Will this help me in getting a PR which is 0 currently?

I was succesful in getting 3-4 more reciprocal links but with low PR sites (PR2-3).

Are these sites related to the content of your site? If they are they will help you. If not, I doubt if they will help you that much. As far as PR update, it may take awhile to tell. Google doesn't update PR that often anymore.

IMHO, you want all links that are quality - be they reciprocal or not. Natural sites have all kinds of links - yours should too.

The last PR update was done in the first days of July.

If the sites that link to you are authority ones in terms of Google (i.e. PR5, Pr6 etc.) they will help you very much if the anchor text is relevant to your content.

a PR5 site providing me link for 15 days on their home page.

I don't think it will help you much.

If you manage to get few more reciprocal links from PR2 or PR33 sites, then you will probably have a PR4 on the next PR update (PR3 is the worst case).

Generally try to achieve a mix in your backlinks. Get few quality one-way links and more reciprocal links; be always careful to avoid any link farms or scraper sites!
