My site is about widget improvement and what I do is search on google phrases like:
“submit site” widgets
intitle:”submit site” widgets
This way I find some directories where I can submit my link, usually without returning link.
Can you recommend me faster ways?

..dont even bother
Im sure this is not the right attitude to take when doing link development.
- If it takes less than 5 minutes and a chance you might get a link then go for it no harm done!
- Im sure you will find pages of content that you can add to and in return get a link - pages thats not abused.

Look it's just a current fad/gimmick and Google isnt going to let it ride long..
Looks good now but in 2 months everyone will be #*$!ing about it.. you watch
did google really not count those links..wowo I spent x amount of time on stuffing wiki with my links when I could have spent the time gettting quality links type stuff
The "harm" is that you are doing it for LINKS ..not for the betterment of Wiki results..
If you are adding some quality information to the page then they will get more information, making it better. he link is a plus, if it stays on.

Im sure in 2 months time it will be full of links, but then again it will have more information and more links to where we will find more information...

As long as people add more useful information to it im sure it will help people. Im not saying go ahead spammers: spam but I dont think '2 months' later it will be gone.
stuffing wiki with my links

Google has indexed some of those pages in a matter of days, and nobody on the wiki site has seen fit to remove the link, which tells me "it's a good thing."
