My sites been active now for roughly 4 months
during this whole time, and still everday I work on getting more incomming links. I have had some fairly nice links from PR 5 and 6 sites since early on. I cannot seem to get these links to show up in google, or alltheweb.

My site being a music website 2 of my high links in question. 1 is from musicmoz PR6 and the other a radio station with PR5.

I also have a bunch of PR 3 and 4's and if a search for incomming links I get nothing at all.

What can I do? I'm at a loss with this.

I've submitted the musicmoz urls that point to my site to google...so hopefully this fixes this problem next update.

I am in a similar situation. How do you submit to Google pages with links to your site?

you goto googles add url page and paste in the page that links to your site.

then hopefully google spiders that page and notices the link to your site.

How do I find out who is linking to my site? I know Google is link:www.yoursite.com, but what about Inktomi and DMOZ?

The weird thing is that each of the 4 SE's that show results are different. None of them show the same ones, and there are still some missing. I would be interested, Hittman, to find out if your strategy of submitting the links to the SE's works.

It has worked for me, the PR 6 that wasn't showing up for months is now showing on g as a link to my site. Even if this alone doesnt show the link, it doesnt hurt to bring the page to googles attention.

thehittman,

Do you think that posting the URL of this PR6 page to Google caused it to finally "see" the link? It's hard to believe that googlebot hasn't visited that PR6 page for months...

I dont see any other reason why it wasnt indexed, seeing that it was a pr6 it should have been spidered often and index listing updated often also. my link had been there 4 months without being seen, then I submitted the url and now it shows.

OK, I'm convinced. I'll try this trick for a couple of pages with "un-noticed" links, and I'll post the results here. Thanks for the tip!
