Links on Noindex, follow pages

would anchor text be indexed and linkpopularity increase?

Hi there,

I would like to place a few links to fellow sites and help to increase their linkpopularity and the position in the SERP's using 1 - 2 keywords as anchor text.

Would this work on pages which have the Meta tags noindex,follow?

I cannot use the index,follow tag as I do not want to be found on 'widget' when I want to promote the fellow pages...

I am really looking for a serious answer.

Frankly, I don't know and I've never seen the question asked. Try it!

It's just the index or no indexpart that really counts, and if it's noindex there's no link pop, no PR for the sites you link to.
