Starting Monday, March 6 at 9 A.M. Pacific Time, we'll be offering an open pilot enrollment for approximately three hours. During this period, you can sign up for an adCenter account directly at [adcenter.msn.com...] and start right away without waiting for an invitation to join.

Only three hours is an interesting tactic though. It will give them some kind of idea as to how much people are "champing at the bit" to get started, compared to how much their reps are going to have to go out and push the product.
Ask whatever you like; we've been using this for several months. It works quite well. It has a number of features that are better than the other PPC tools. You'll find that you'll use both Google and MSN adCenter.
This is for advertisers, right? Not publishers?
Yes.
Is this an account for the US market only or is it possible to target other markets as well?
At the moment Adcentre (as far as I know) is running in France, Singapore and in Beta in the US. It certainly isn't running much in the UK. However, I would have thought non US people will be able to sign up to the Beta, providing they are happy to only have their ads showing in the US right now.
I actually started using Adcenter and had the shock of my life. The user interface is good and it was a pleasure starting off. But once I started adding the listings, the problems started. After adding the listings, I clicked the Save button and the site hangs. This happened about 6-8 times. Even the Reset button didn't help.
So I tried to mass upload the spreadsheet. I used the same template that they provided. And after uploading, got an error message. The error message said that I could download and view it in csv format. I did that and found that the csv download had nothing but the heading of the template. Did this also about 5 times before giving up.
Is this a one off case? Is anybody else having trouble?I've worked with many other PPC engines, and never had so much trouble putting up the listings
I am wondering if there is a limit on the number of total sign-ups, or if anybody will be able to sign up until 9am. Ask this because I need to know if I need to do it at 6am, or if it's the same as doing at 8:30am..does anybody know?
As far as i know, i don't think MSN has any limit on number of total sign-ups. MSN have planned this out, unlike Google, and they will be open for 3 hours like they say it on their blog. So, you will have a chance to sign up at 6am and at 8:57am.
I have signed up with MSN and even though they have some bugs and some way to go, i think they have an excellent product, better than AdWords.
