Hi Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that adCenter will be going through some server upgrades this Saturday, 7/8/2006, and the system will be unavailable from 10am PST to 10pm PST.
During this time, your campaigns will continue to run normally, but you will not have access to adCenter. If you have to make changes for the weekend, please make them before 10am PST on Saturday!

So I finally found a buddy who would sign me up via IE 6+/ XP

ANd I am signed up. I ama mac user

Now I am unable to create any campaigns in any browser. Firefox comes close.

I called customer service, they said they are aware of this, and may get fixed in new update.

They told me to post here and maybe adcenter411 will respond...

Will this be fixed in this update? Mac/firefox compatability?

I severely doubt it. AdCenter has had many updates since it's release and none such even touch on browser/OS compatibility. However, I posted about using Boot Camp yesterday, have you tried that yet?

That will take some doing I'm sure....Not sure if I want to incur that headache. MIght just keep going to Kinkos to admin MSN adcenter.

It's really incredable to think that MSN would make a signup form and interface to only work in IE 6+ XP, that's just insane thinking.... I don't get it... Beginning webmasters can't make a cross platform Booking form/DB easily ....oh well... So mac users can't get a quick fix and have a nice firefox update, this is gonna take months? Is that right adcenter411?

Also Draconian, you need an INtel based mac to run bootcamp. I don't have that =(

Will this update fix the contact support link on the bottom of the pages? I have been unable to find where I can submit a request, find a phone number, etc.

I am trying to set up a new campaign with the potential of $10-15K per month for adCenter...

My bad, sorry. (Not a mac user)

Although, another suggestion would be to put together a couple bucks and buy a beater. Adcenter runs on IE 5.5 and Win 2000 too (As that's what I use). It shouldn't be hard to find a cheap copy of these.

(May be even 95/98 will work, who knows?) :P

I tried signing up using virtual PC/Windows 2000 IE 5, but no luck, i haven't tried it to admin any campaigns, maybe different bugs...I'lll give it a shot

This is the most irritating bug - f I try to use
'price estimation' to get the 'maximum bid' field where I can update all prices at once, it says 'price estimation did not return any keywords or phrases with estimates. Then if I enter a price where its says 'maximum bid', I get the popup 'microsoft adcenter was unable to complete your request' etc.
This happened a lot before the update and is maybe even worse now.
The only way to change all my prices at once is to delete all the keywords and reload them. That is ridiculous!

Now since the update I'm having lots of problems updating prices
by keyword. I'll put in a few prices and hit 'save', and I get the 'system error, contact support with error 1' message...and of course my changes won't take. This is getting really frustrating. The only way I can get it to take the changes is to update less than 10 prices at a time. This is a new bug for me.

I should add, the last bug I mentioned was happening consistently after I had done one sort on the keywords list before changing prices. Changing campaigns, restarting IE etc didn't help.

No firefox support for mac users. This is not gonna be easy to admin my account.

Why don't they just put up yahoo again until they come out with a post 1996 admin interface.
