I had a thought. I read this forum nearly everyday and 90% of it is a lot of whining and temper tantrum behavior. This is a fairly new program, and it does need some help, but it would be so much nicer if we worked as professionals and thought of ourselves as pioneers marking the future of AdCenter. It would be nice to see complaints posted with pleasant attitudes instead of all the mean, angry posts here. Our comments can change what MSN does with this program - let's please try to keep it positive and suggestive rather than the form it seems to have taken. OK? They are not forcing us to use it, but are asking for suggestions. And no, I am not Mary Sunshine but I do know from years of experience that you catch more flies with honey.

We are a fair bunch on WebmasterWorld.

What we don't like are companies releasing bad applications, and then not solving the issues we raise.

I spend a lot of money on PPC, I use adwords, overture and adcenter.

I change my budgets for the providers depending on how their applications work and the traffic they send.

I do not consider myself a "pioneer". All these companies charge me the full rate for each click so being nice while they fix their problems is something I'm not interesred in.

I have kept my adwords expenditure about the same over the last 3 years, I have slashed my Overture budget to 10% of its orignal spend, for me the jury is still out on adcenter.

The slating of adcenter will stop when they get their system to work to justify our bills.

Much of the criticism is definitely warranted. I think it's obvious to most of us that this product was rushed out of beta before it's time.

Whilst I agree with TerriGW that some of the criticism is unfairly harsh (a few posters out there seem to be very, very unhappy people. Miserable in fact)I think it's fair to expect that people are going to feel the need to vent occasionally. Whilst it would be better if criticism was constructive, it is sometimes hard to be constructive when one is experiencing fits of rage due to hours of lost time interacting with a buggy interface that would surely drive Ghandi to violence.

On a brighter note, those of us who persist can enjoy the benefits of less competion as our competitors run off screaming back to whence they came.
