Hi, I got this hate mail apparently from a disgruntled Japanese webmaster whose site I refused to add a link to because of its unsavory content. He said in return that he was going to 'destroy' my site for the good of mankind. How do you handle this kind of harassment? And to what extent of damage CAN be done to any website?

IMO, keep a copy of that email, including headers, time etc and carry on as if nothing happened :)

This guy is just trying to intimidate you, just ignore him. It is unlikely that he can cause harm.

Save (for reference), then Ban, Bounce and Blacklist.

how do you go about bouncing and black listing? My old isp told me to politely take a flying leap... the internet is a free world. They were nice, $30 for 1 gig of data sitting on 6 T1's. but thier customer service sucked ***...

so, banning bouncing and blacklisting?
