When searching for my domain on google or yahoo, there are tons of sites that have tiny snippets of my site, along with other stuff from similar sites.

There are so many of these sites out there these days.

Do people generally thing this is a good thing, in terms of having more sites linked to your own sites?

This is a much discussed topic, talked to death.

Take a "deep look" into the threads in the AdSense forum. You'll see lots of comments.

Generally, it depends on which side of the equation you're on. Those that build 'em must love 'em because they build lots of them. Those who don't like seeing their content snipped complain and petition Google to do something. Some people don't mind the snippeting so long as it comes with a link back to their website, but not all scrapers are so accommodating.
