How do you sell a site?

I have a site that I cannot take care of anymore, so I am thinking of selling it rather than let it sit there abandoned.

But I am absolutely new to this "buy-sell site" thing, don't even know where to start!

1) who can objectively evaluate it and tell me how much is it worth? is there a way to do it for free?

2) where do you find an honest buyer and how can you trust that buyer? there is so much scam going on that I am kinda scared, to tell the truth.
