I was just checking my logs and found a referal from page 31 of Google search. I always find it the norm to get referals from say pages 1-3 but very seldomly a lot further down. Anyone else getting deep searchers :)

How do you tell what serps page the referal is from?

I've looked at some referals to my site and am often amazed to see how far into the serps some folks will dig. I just do that by taking the search string show and using it in the matching search engine.

Is there another way?

Buried in that url that you are copying and pasting, there's usually a number that will tell you how deep into the serp the referrer comes from. For example, a Google referral that says "start=50" would mean that the page started with the 51st matching site for the query.

We all do, they either:

A) have a vacuum cleaner to sell you
B) typed a key phrase you never tought of and worth some effort

I prefer B

I get enough of the "B's" but those "A's" really annoy me...

"Hi! I've done a search for your domain using *totally unrelated keyword/phrase* and found you listed on page 121 of a search engine. I'd like to help you make it into the top ten pages! Just think of all the traffic you will receive!"

Yep... hate those "A's."

I wont mention the company involved but have you received the "a" email that has a picture of your home page on it with the words something like "we notice you arent listed on all the top search engines" I like getting those cos i use the image... can't be copyright infringement when it is after all my page :)
