Hey fellas:)

Q.1. In the meta revisit tag, what is the least amount of days i can list in this tag for the robots revisiting?

Q.2. For example, can i list it as 3 days?
I've seen 7 days, but i would like to list it as
3 days.

<meta name="revist-after" content="7 days" />

I know that some bots don't listen to this tag but i would just like to list it anyway as (3) days or less for revisiting.

Thanks guys for your help:)
I appreciate it.

<meta name="revist-after" content="7 days" />

The revisit-after tag is useless - not a single major search engine supports it. The bots will visit on their own schedule. :)

I have

<meta name="revist-after" content="10^-43 seconds" />

(10^-43 seconds is the 'quantum unit if time' or 'planck time', no smaller unit of time exists in our univers physlink.com [physlink.com])

But seriously they should support this tag to some degree (for reasonable times like days). Google has their sitemaps thing where you can tell them how often your pages change in the xml... why not let people do it with meta tags in their pages?

I and many others here use this tag on virtually every page we run or administer if it's under around 50 kb ...however as encyclo says it actually does absolutely squat ;) ..but if the page has less than 75kb total it doesnt hurt us and sure does missdirect the people who think that google et al can be whistled up like some bird dog ( which is why we do it ..grey hat or passive black hat if you will ;)..ignore it..

Worry about your real life dog : kids / wife /whatever.... will do you more good ..

Those here who run pages that come in at under 10kb will think one would have to be crazy to waste space "comme ça" .. depends on your markets and if the others understand or not ;)..thats why the word was "virtually"...most people who hit your logs on small low traffic sites in the early days of the site are actually the competition trying to see why you are above them ..judicious use of such missdirects can make them adjust themselves right off of page one and out of the running ...

to be used with caution and aforethought ..and very carefull page analysis yadda yadda ...

owner and copyright etc metas are in the same general area ...but your mileage may ...and undoubtably will vary ..
