Hi,

I was wondering if a ready-to-use shopping comparison based on XML feeds already exists?
It's funy how I could not find any anywhere....is it me or nothing ready to work with yet?

They are extremely complicated and I don't believe there is a "pre-made" script out there.

Actually I just found one but I'm not sure how good it is.

I have some web developer who is proposing to do the job for under $2k

Might be a rip off but the guy explained me that it is not that complicated if all you need is xml feed based input.

Someone else has some input there?

Where do you get your XML feeds from? If they're provided by other sites then it would not be a big problem but if it is to make them by gathering them from their web pages then we have a real chalenge here.

If all you want it the script and not the page design or anything rentacoder guys could prolly do it for under $500.

Hi,

These people sell price comparison script. They offer support to XML, CSV and webpage crawling. They also give links.

[kaonsoftwares.com...]

It simple to find them, just search google using query price comparison script

Actually the script would be to gather ready XML feeds, which most shopping website have now.

I already have a designer so I'm looking for a good programmer / script.

I will give a look to this script, looks good...I guess I can try Google better sometimes. :)

I seems to have all the basic features I want including the mod_rewrite part but may need some customization though.

:)

Well actually I've been quite busy on another project so I did not look further into it.

Their script seems pretty simple but I'm a bit worried about it, not sure if you can really expand on it. It might b kinda slow if lots of products.

I like the search engine friendly feature, mandatory for me, but I might rather find someone already hands on a similar development and work from there.

My budget is really tight though :(

Hi,

I am kinda interested in it. You said it will be kinda slow if alot of products are in it. Why is that? What made you think that. did I miss something there?

Thanks
