What is a scraper site?

hello guys!

ok im new to adsense, im running a coupke of websites selling my own products and I've been running this sites for over a year now. all the traffic I get is PPC traffic. a monbth ago I decided to add the adsense code to my 2 sites, they made about $140 the 1st month.

anyways, my question is, what is a scraper? sorry if this questions is dumb :)

and in one of my sites, I have one banner wich directs to party poker site, im an affiliate, and im also planning to ad adnsese to that site, is that agins Adsense TOS? My site is not gambling oriented, but i just happen to have one poker banner in there, is that ok with google?

A scraper site is when you take (aka scrape) the content from another site and then republish it on your site. For example do a search on Google for Adsense, then copy the top 10 sites (their titles and snippets). Then paste this content onto one of your pages. Magically with very little work you have content. You can scrape any data source. The resulting content is generally poor quality and has duplicate content issues. But if you are smart you can make scraped content look good.
