what do i input to look up a site that a registrar hasn't quite switched over. i assume it must be something like [#*$!.xxx.xx.xx...] but what else is missing.

if you know the ip you can just type it right into the location bar of your browser, or is that not working.

If you are on a shared IP address, then usually you can access your site by adding the username like this:

http://123.456.78.90/~username/

Another tactic is to add the IP address to your computer's "hosts" file by adding a line like this:

123.456.78.90 http://www.example.com/

yes, this site is on a Virtual Private Server. Running plesk. i have several other domains on the same id. so i would use the ftp user name? or the site name? i tried. [#*$!.xxx.xxx.xx...] and didn't get anything.
