Viewpoint?

Is this adware or spyware?

I just had a window (not IE or firefox) open up about a new download from viewpoint, which I declined. Reading their terms and conditions, I got a bad feeling about them (provision for modifying the T&C without direct notice and assumed acceptance without an opt-out e-mail from me) I don't know how I got viewpoint software on my computer. Is anyone familiar with them?

According to Google, AOHell installs it w/out the users knowledge:

The Viewpoint Media Player and Manager is bundled with AOL, AIM, versions of Netscape, certain Adobe products and most retail computers sold today.

Got that off their website. Go to their products page, then the media player page. They have a FAQ.

I don't use anything from AOL. I do have Netscape and Mozilla, but they were installed long before the viewpoint appeared (in the last few days).
