Hi,

I want to convert my documents to PDF file, only allow user to read the documents, cannot edit, print, save and email. What I done is set all the security as I mention but when I try to open the PDF file with Adobe Reader 7, that is well all the save and print icons were hided but the 'File' on the toolbar still will allow me to save and print. My question is, do have anyway for me to convert my documents which just allow user to read on in only?

Thanks a bunch.

There seems to always be a way to work around all attemps to secure a file. The best you can hope for is to slow down some users. What ever you do you run into the danger of a SE believing you are trying to hide stuff from them and get banned for that.

Why do they need to be PDF's? Could they be images?

I'd ask this same question. The main reason-for-being of PDF's is to be easily printable and readable off-line. If the documents are going to be read on the computer screen, there are better formats. And, since the Adobe reader has its own set of save and print buttons (not to mention "save target as" potential), I'd think there would be formats that would be more easily secured.
