SEO problem?

A new section is being constructed for an existing website. The primary page for this section discusses and links to secondary pages with color/swatch samples of a general category, i.e. "Grey". Each sample on these secondary pages links to a full page rendering of the sample. The only text on these pages is a block containing the category and sample number, i.e. "Grey 45".

This section is in development, and not yet launched. Currently, each full size sample page, within its category, has the same <title>General Category, Specific Category, Domain Name</title> (Up to 200 pages of Specific Category.)

Advancing SEO for the section is not a great priority in this case, but staying out of trouble surely is nice. Are all of these identical <title> pages a potential problem? Would renaming each of them to match the specific sample, i.e. "Grey 45", be helpful, or make minimal difference? The project isn't so far along that corrections and 'best practices' can't be implemented.

Using the same title can cause problems and the web pages will never rank high as they could have, I would suggest changing each one to a title that refelcts the content on that page.

It's a good idea to have unique titles not just for SEO, but for users as well. If someone bookmarks the page, for example, a unique title is much more useful i.e.
<title>Grey 45, General Category, Specific Category, Domain Name</title>

Thanks. I was pretty sure we were going to need to edit those titles. As a functional matter, I don't think that those titles will ever be of importance, especially given the minute differences between them. However, the behind the scenes 'best practices' has been nagging at me since I first saw how these sections were coming along. One never knows what unforeseen price might have to be paid for this sort of thing down the road.
