Hello,

My employer wishes to have a new site created, completely separate from the existing informational site. The new site would be to post pictures of a homeowner's home throughout the build process (my employer is a home builder ;)). My emplopyer would like the sales staff (five locations throughout the state and one sales individual per location) to take the pictures and upload them to the new site. Keep in mind, this new site is only to post pictures - there will be no content, with exception of a brief description of the photos and a description fo the service, i.e. marketing tool, on the entry page. I envision the first page having links to each location; the appropriate photos would be on the page of the location.

Here's the tricky part: none of the sales staff is web site savvy. My employer wants a simple way for the sales staff to upload the pictures: "just click a button and the picture is loaded to the site", she says. So...does anyone know of a source or tool that we can utilize for this? Thank you very much.

There are many image upload components. In ASP (Windows servers) I use one called "ASPUpload and JPEGUpload) which take the images and can create thumbnails and resize them as well.

Do a google search for ASPUpload and you'll find it.

Ya, there are also some pre-built web galleries that make it real idiot proof. I just found one written in ASP that has a ton of ool features and a great GUI for managing it all.

PM me for the URL.

Its not difficult to do. Possibly you can find a tool to do it for you. You may need to hire a programmer to set it up for you?

There is an open source PHP gallery program called Gallery [gallery.sourceforge.net]. It may be overkill for your needs but I like it for the most part.
