I am currently working on a real estate website and the owner would like to have floor plans for each of the homes listed on the site. I know that <snip - a large estate angency group> display's some very professional floor plans on their site (ex. <snip>). But I'm not sure if the software they use is in-house or commerical. Does anyone know of a good floor planning software package? Or something similar to what <snip - said large estate agency> is using?

Thanks in advance.

Most architects use CAD or Autodesk's Revit, which has the capability to export a very simple plan like what you've linked to.

In reality, the realtor won't have access to the architect's info, and creating a plan for each individual property can be done with some Broderbund software (can't remember the name), but it'd be very time-intensive to do that for each one. If he already has plans on paper, he'd be better off scanning them and uploading the graphic.

I use SmartDraw for different charts and diagrams and I noticed it has a section for floor plans. I've never used it myself, I am just letting you know that it's there. Try it yourself, maybe it will be of satisfactory quality.

Thank you for all of your comments thus far. I have googled SmartDraw already and it is a solution, but I'm wondering if there is something extremely simple/quick for the novice user.

Thanks again for the feedback.
