DNS help

how do i do it

can someone get me a tutorial on how to get my domain name to dns to my site where my ftp is hosted which i would have to use a subdomain link.
I am trying to do this at <some dns provider>.com and do i have to go to my domain page and change its name server to
ns1.<some dns provider>.com

and that will make it work?

what i want to do is make it so
[nba1341.example.net...]
is dnsed to
http://example.com

and so like lets say someone hits forums on my page it would normally go to
[nba1341.example.net...]
would it go to
http://example.com/forums?

Hi sabongio. Do you mean that you want *.example.net to resolve to example.net? Or do you mean .com to .net?
