Not if you're only changing server (as in IP address).

If you're keeping the same domain, you won't have a problem. However, remember that most search engines cache IP address, so you should run both in parallel for a while until you see the spiders all coming in on the new IP address.

When your old server no longer gets spidered, it's safe to turn it off.

I've changed IPs/hosts many times and although I'm not attempting to SEO my site in any considerably major way I've noticed no real difference.

As far as the spiders are concerned it's just a new IP address.

Your logfiles will show you spiders accessing the site.

Make sure the new server is ready for production before you make the switch to avoid down time (bad if spiders are trying to grab your site).

HI,

I was checking my log files, i got this url in logs [mydomainname...] where a b c d e are my folder name on root. I dont know why this structure is comming in log files. although these all are 404 pages and i have uploaded a custom error page for this 404. But still confuse how this structure in comming. along with this whatever is there between domain and my folder that does not belongs to my site.

[mydomainname...]

I think something serious is there.

Help needed.
