Reading the actual name of a CD

OK, here's a toughy, or maybe not!

All I need to do("all"...sigh) is read the actual name of a CD I put in my drive.
That's it, nothing else. No complex algorithm to do anything bizarre with it, no need to spin it up beforehand, no need for anything else. Man this is frustrating. Im sure it's possible, just not got a clue how :s

Aaaaanyway.... basically I just need to grab the title of a CD when I put it in the drive and initialise the script. It doesn't have to automatically recognise the CD or anything intelligent like that.

Man this is frustrating!
