Don't know if this has been reported yet but I'll post it anyway. The e-mail looks like a returned (bounced) e-mail sent from "postmaster". It contains an attachment "html.exe". Don't know what it is or does but don't open it.

Apparently one of my competitors sites has been hijacked (Windows server, no need to say more) and I'm getting all sorts of crazy e-mail bombs being sent to me. It will be an interesting night.

Key_Master, I haven't got that one yet, but I get the Microsoft one several times per day. I got a new version of the Microsoft Upgrade one today that was a classic. In the message body, they warned all Microsoft users about the dangers of opening attachements and then advised everyone to open the attachement of that message to install a FREE patch. There is no telling how many millions of people are going to do just that and we are all going to get hundreds of these things over the next few weeks.

Yeah, I got that one too. From the same infected server.

Well, I guess I'll just have to keep my Norton Anti-Virus "Bloodhound" settings on super high and keep checking for updates every few hours. I've been doing that since last summer. I've got a friend that just won't upgrade his virus definations and he has lost his computer files two different times over the past year. Talk about not learning from ones mistakes...

I have learned from everybody elses mistakes and it has paid off so far. I've never had a computer that's been infected by a computer virus. I don't open attachments (no matter how harmless they may seem) and I keep very high security settings. Even if my computer was infected nobody else would be harmed. It isn't configured to send outgoing mail.

I said "html.exe" in the first message. It's supposed to be "href.exe".

I learn from everyones mistakes too. I can't run my business without email, so I have to be very careful. Some of these new attachements open when the message is viewed without opening the attachement. A big hole in Outlook Express in my opinion. Everytime they plug one hole, hackers find a few more.
