Inline frames and SEO

a pretty simple question

Hello,

My site has a lot of text content (articles), and also a lot of affiliate links. I've heard that some search engines don't like sites with lots of affiliate links, so I was thinking of using inline frames to display the affiliate links. So two questions:

1. Can a page be penalized for the content inside the frame?

2. Will a page be penalized simply for HAVING an inline frame?

My goal is to have the content on the page spidered and indexed, and not be affected by the content inside the frame.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

I tried this, but Google does not seem to pick it up on the page containing frame. The file used in the frame can be indexed.
