Simulate form filling

Hello fellow webmasters!

I want to write a script to simulate form filling to automatically submit to some linkdumps and save some time
Now I need an approach.. Can it be done in PHP?
I was told cURL can do it but I'd prefer to do it in PHP/js..

Any directions would be welcome..
