Hi.

I'm new to all of this (despite the fact that I have been here numerous times).

I would like to start a website that is basically a message board (like this one).

I need an income stream(s). I've been unemployed for a while and would like to try making money with a website by way of banner ads.

How much could I expect? I'm sure the money advertisers pay is always up for renegotiating, but I would like a ballpark figure for a new web site.

sorry to disappoint, but that's going to be an impossible question to answer. It all depends on your negotiating skills and the popularity/market of the site.

There are no hard and fast numbers available.
