Has anyone formed a LLC?

I am thinking of forming a LLC and I wanted to hear from someone's experience (hopefully in california).

1 How much was it?
2 Did it effect how you operated your site?
3 Did it effect how you could collect/spend your adsense checks?

I'm in the process of forming an LLC, and it has no bearing whatsover on how you run your business.

An LLC is a corporation - just a different type of business ownership model. You cash checks just like you used to. Only now you bank account is a corporate one.

I paid about $700 for a lawyer (US) to handle the paperwork for me. You can do it yourself for less, but it's something best left up to the lawyers as you don't want to mess it up - it can be more costly to fix it later.
