Hi everyone,
I open this thread to collect opinions about the consequences of a SEs algo change.
I've came across many posts where was reported of a drastic unexplainable downfall of site PR or ranking and I seen that the more common explaination given by other "posters" was to attribute that to a "secret" sudden algorithm change.

Personally I not agree with this "thesis" since my opinion is that algo changes don't affect current PR/rankings turning upside down the order of the whole Web.It sounds to be ridicolous...
They only makes more difficult any further attempt to move higher the PR scale or the SERP position.

Agree? Not agree?

Opinions are welcome!

Its not so much change of algo, but additional conditions that allow detection of spammy sites, say usage of certain HTML bits: this can hit targeted spam sites and some innocents, and technically its an algo change, just not fundamental that affects everyone.

And of course its always possible that a staffer get his attention brought to a spammy sites that managed to evade spam filters and blasts it.
