CMS Recommendations?

My site now is managed via Dreamweaver MX, but I'm trying to find out if there is a simple CMS that would work for a graphic designer. I have a huge portfolio (IMO;-) online - over 500 images, with 200-300 more to add. As you can imagine, it's a PITA to do this manually. ESPECIALLY assigning an image to various specialty galleries.

I have a hobby site that I use XOOPS on, but I'm not 100% happy with it.

I need something that will allow me to set images in the main portfolio and then also put images in multiple specialty galleries.

For example, say I have X.gif and it needs to go in:

>main gallery
>blue widgets gallery
>affordable widgets gallery

Any recommendations?
