Acxiom acquires Digital Impact (which acquired MarketLeap last summer [webmasterworld.com])
SAN MATEO — Digital Impact, which sells e-mail and online marketing software, agreed to be purchased Monday by Acxiom Corp. for $140 million.Acxiom, which makes database-management software, aims to add Digital Impact's Internet marketing software.
The purchase price, $3.50 a share, represents a 53 percent premium to Digital Impact's closing price of $2.29 on March 24.

How much bragging rights would MSN get if it were converted to an MS platform.. suddenly they would brag about running the largest DB of web pages in the world - credibility for the MS OS goes up - MS make a bundle - all worth while.
Not a certainty perhaps, but certainly likely.
