hello there, i have paid for rather expensive hosting, this in my own country so i cannot test the real speed that the rest of the world are getting, i have taken a look at my access logs and i find that alot of people are refreshing my site.

please could you goto: <snip>

and take a look at the speed you are getting, i do not wish to break any more rules so can you please goto my homepage and tell me if that loads up well,

Thank you VERY much.
steve

On your home page, which was worked out from the email address you gave in your profile. Your logo seemed to stall the page for about 0.7s and after that the rest loaded fine. People refresh to check whether the whole page loaded because of this stalling.

Location ______ London, UK
Modem _________ 46.6kps at the time normally at 50.4 kps

Most of your users will run on a 56k modem which may explain why they keep refreshing

Try doing a search on any engine for "test your website speed" or something along those lines and you'll find a lot of sites that provide you with the results for free.

no, you cannot get away with that either.

It's not a question of a link or a direct link. We don't allow people to drive traffic to their site from Webmaster World. Please read the TOS.

talking of speed, i thought most of the world would be on broadband by now.. isnt it rather cheap over in the uk yet?

i just cant comprehend the actual speed of my site as i have a 2meg ASDL connection..
and my site loads at about 215KB/sec (KBytes not kbits)
