Designing two sites of similar nature

How the link structure should be in two sits with similar nature

Hello Everybody.

I have clothing business, and I want to have two websites. There are 1000+ products which I would be publishing online.

At the moment I have already one website running live, but I would like to design new website with new design layout and with the same products.

My question is, how do I place links to my products? Does these product links and shopping cart should be different for each other or I can share this with each site.

For Ex. My first site is www.abc.com which has number of pages like cloth A, cloth B etc., and in each of this page there are products which is linked to shoopping cart.

Now if I develop second site www.def.com and develop pages for cloth A, and Cloth B and place link within these page to page cloth A and cloth B of www.abc.com?

Or Do I need create separate shopping cart pages for each product under www.def.com?

Could you give me an idea in this regard?

Hi,

The primary thing that you have to be aware is that linking sites with very similar (or identical)contents could result in penalizing or banning from SEs.

Thanks for your comment, I do agree with this but both the site has differnt contents.

I will be just linking to product deails page in Site A from Site B. Where Site A page dispalys all the categories and links to individual products.

Any comment?

It's a bit confused what you write:

I think that you mean if is better to put links to the shopping cart from the site "def" to the site "abc" instead to create new shopping cart pages on the site "def",Am I correct?

If yes,both solutions are feasibles,as you prefer.
You can put links to the first site shopping cart pages or create new ones on the second one.
In my opinion,sounds more businesslike to create new shopping cart pages on the second one.
