I have run Adaware, Spybot and Trojan Remover with no luck.

What happens is if I perform a search in any search engine, with any browser, an Internet Explorer message box comes up inviting me to utilize an offer that is related to what I am searching for.

If I search for a one word term, like 'weird', a dictionay site comes up or a search feed.

This is not good! HELP!

Go look at your ad remove programs for some obvious bargainbuddey type installations... Too, get yourself some sort of process viewer and hunt that sucker down.

Sometimes it's like finding and removing a tick, I've had to manually unreg some dlls to some spyware/adware.

I've run into that one before on our postmasters computer.
I used a program named Win Patrol to find the BHO and disable it and then look through the start up programs to wipe it out.

If you have xp be sure to turn off system restore else the buggers will hide there. I like hijack this. You have to know what processes are normal though to use it safely. Also, for automated free tools look at spybot s&d, adaware se, and surprisingly (surprisingly at least to me), the microsoft beta anti-spyware is very good. Also look at turning off the "allow third party browser exensions to run in IE. Turn off windows messenger, not the chat application. Once you get clean... get firefox, and be done with most of that mess for good. Also if xp or 2000 then make a non-administrative account without install rights to surf with. If you need specific help search google for spyware help forums. You can post hijack this logs there and there are some very smart folks at some of these forums.
