you make a web site for a person and he doesn’t fulfill the final payment obligation and changes passwords for the ftp and ya like a fool I had "almost" completed minor changes they wanted? Though about placing a small image on the page that’s changeable from my site to reflect my feelings about this person. and no i had no contracr with this "ex" friend.

Are you in the position to raise a court case against him?
You're better off than some [webmasterworld.com] though.
Try doing what he did, raise a petition. It worked for him. 20 odd signatures may make a difference [webmasterworld.com]

Have you called him/her and asked what their problem is? What do they say?

Ya, called him, even went to his location, "I don’t have the money just now, give me a month". month went by no calls no answer when I call (caller id ). I sent him one last email (was even nice) and stated that I expected an answer . I do have one small recourse (his profession is custom motorcycle painter) and I was in the business my self long ago and know most of the shops he does work for (evil grin) a few choice words to the right people.............

You don't need to evil grin over that one. Sharing your business experiences is generally called "building a network." It's important to give honest feedback about other businesses eve nif it's negative, but do so in a professional manner - remember he can do the same thing.
Sometimes it's just a loss.

Tis true about being honest, i gave him a second chance w/conditions and seems that the person wants to pay now, based on the conditions. I wont lie to you and you sure better not lie to me and he gave vrious reasons why he could not pay, but i have proof that he was . any way the matter is solved, and thanks for the input
