open the ImageReady Help...and use the Index nav..you will find a complete listing of help files that explains the process better then I can...

If you have access to an animated gif then you should start there...open the gif in image ready...it will automatically open the animation panel .. and you will see a small arrow to the far right..this is a menu....you can open this and compare what you see with what the help files teach you..

good luck..they are fun to work with...even with all the flash stuff..a small effect gif animation can do wonders..

If you use pshop and create each frame as a layer, when you export this file to image ready there is a handy command that allows you to set layers to frames. On the control panel you will see a circle with a triangle in it. Hit that and it will give you the option to convert layers to frames.

Next you set the time delay for each frame and then save as optimized gif.
