I run a web server on my ADSL connection just for testing, to learn about servers, etc., because it's fun (Apache/PHP/GNU-Linux). It's a dynamic IP address so not much good for important hosting obviously.
Anyway, I thought I'd see if anyone else using the same ISP as me had the same idea, so I ran a quick nmap xx.yy.zz.* -p 80 -v and lo and behold there were about 6. So, being curious, I had a look at them in my browser.
Every single one brought back a similar page, along the lines of:
Hasbani Web Server Error Report:
--------------------------------------
Server Error: [403 or 401 mostly]
--------------------------------------
[Access Denied/Unauthorised/etc.]
--------------------------------------
/doc/index.htm
Some also had a login prompt for "Home Gateway" which I duly cancelled.
Now either there is a secret web server revolution going on (I don't think this is the case!) or this is something that comes with some standard piece of kit like a hardware router, etc. Either way, Google turns up nothing useful on the subject of Hasbani Web Server so I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone knows what on earth this thing is?
Cheers.
