.Bin file problems

Mac OsX server, Can't open file from FTP

Would anyone have any experience with a .Bin file?

I have a FTP server running on a OSx Server machine at work.

I will upload a folder of images at work.

go home.

and when i connect from my PC using ftp at home with a network place, or through my browser, all the files are now appended with a .BIN file extension.

what gives?
i know they're binary, but why is it doing this?

Maybe you could try opening it with Stuffit?

i think you're on the right track,
but let me add one more detail to explain the situation

currently all i want to do is move JPEG and TIFF files from the mac server to any other machine

when the files are transfered to the offsite PC they now have a .bin extension.

eg..

filename_a_20.tiff.bin
