measuring conversion rates

using a number of variables?

Hi,

I am using the number of new subscribers to my enewsletter and the number of website enquiries about my services to measure the converion rate of my website.

Just wondering is it accepted to add these 2 variables together to get one conversion figure.

We use cookies. Each new source for links that we have we give a unique URL to. When they goto thier URL it gives them a cookie. When they buy something we write the cookie to a file.
