1) All of my code resides in the host's "public_html" directory. Including PHP scripts with usernames and passwords for database and credit card processing. Can anyone obtain those files without executing the script?
2) I intend to backup the entire website weekly and the database daily (sound about right?). My host supports cron jobs. I've spent about 3 hrs today trying to find out what kind of script works with the cron jobs and how to work it in. No dice. Plenty of advice on configuring the schedule but that is it. I've been reading horror stories here for the last hour...but again no script. It must be really easy. Can someone clue me in? Anybody like the idea of backing up to another host somewhere? (I'm on dial-up still...)
If anyone would do me the favor of letting me know why my questions don't elicit responses it would be much appreciated.
I'm not trying to be cute...but this isn't the only forum I post to and get nothing.
Do I sound like a fathead? Should I use less words? Or do you guys just know each other that well?
