Finding a Programmer

For a complex site system script

Hi everyone! I am very interested to know where I should look to find a programmer for a complex site script which will be the core of a hosting website that I am working on. It will possibly be a long project and I have very little money to spend if any. Of course if there was success with the system, money would come in, but first thing is first, looking for a talented programmer.

Are there any directories or places that I should go looking?

Best bet is to visit your local university and see if you can talk a student into investing his or her time. I doubt professional programmers would be interested in working without a paycheck.

I've read your subject and I jumped in looking for opportunities (I'm a programmer). I must tell you that your problem somehow hit me: "complex site script" "long project" "very little money to spend if any" "looking for a talented programmer".

Do you have some realistic alternatives to propose? I do have some wonderful ideeas and I'd want to have someone do them for free and pay him if they will bring money..recommendations?
