help in selling a tool

We have developed some software that we use for ourselves. We spent 1000's developing it, so as to easily be able to build and control lots of small sites, we have been looking at how to sell the technology or parts of it and are looking for suggestions. The front end is similar to word and hence would allow an office junior to run it and deliver dreamweaver type sites from a large selection of templates. The sites can be emailed when complete or ftp'ed to anywhere.

We have worked out that anyone who does what we do with it on a large sacale already has a tool and wouldn't want to use technology that they didn't build, but we think their are many companies who would like the facility to centrally control a pile of small, maybe client web sites.

The question is how do we charge for it?

We don't want to sell the technology, so we are contemplating the idea that for say £50 someone can use it to build a single site and come back and ammend it as and when they want. Hence great for small web design companies, plus once they have used our tool to build the bulk of their site, they can use our tool again or just use dreamweaver to do the tweaks.

Any suggestions more than welcome.

Sliding-scale licensing: use for one site £50; use for up to three sites £100; use for four to 7 sites £150, etc. And you'd probably need to figure out what you think it's really worth to license to someone who wants it to be THEIR DREAMWEAVER or TSP or whatever - bound to be those who will think it's so much better than whatever's in second place that they want an overall license to use it as their only dev suite....
