Where are the profits in the Hosting Business

Hi,

Could you please tell me where are the profits in the Hosting business.

I see there is a lot of providers selling hosting for $10/year, and I cant explain myself how they make money, to maintain the server, and to pay for the customer service team.

No I wonder myself, the only way I can see them making money is for extra charges when you go over your bandwidth or want to register a domain name etc.

Apart from that Id say teh market was cut throat

The volume of cheap $10 hosting plus they have a set up charge for each domain which in some cases is more than the monthly hosting as a one off charge

The payment of so much per minute they get off the large phone companies when you have to use their dialup to access your email address or have the domain name derestricted to use any dialup which there is a charge for
