No. Just make sure they are listening on different ports [webmasterworld.com].

I'm doing this on the server I run. It's SQL 7 and MySQL 4.x, SQL 7 for teh main site (bespoke) and MySQL for the blog component (which uses a somewhat modified WordPress installation).
So, yeah, it can indeed be done.

I was running SQL Server 2000 + MySQL without any issues.
