Is it possible to remove a page from Google or Yahoo so that when someone searches for a word in that page, the page doesn't show up as a result?

You could lock the page down with a robots.txt call. That'd keep the spiders out.

If there was a way of doing that, then you could shut down half the forums on this board. Launch a site, remove your competitors from the SERPs...

Am I missing something blindingly obvious in your scenario?
