I'm interested in incorporating something like this on a site I'm working on. It is a program you can download and run on your desktop. It's a gorilla that interacts and learns from the user.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of interactivity or know of anyone that does?

I have no idea how difficult something like this would be to develop.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but my understanding of Bonzi Buddy is that it is a Microsoft Agent, build with their technology. You can see the Microsoft Agent [microsoft.com] home page there.

They have some pretty neat things you can do with that kit, from what I have seen browsing the net. Hope that helps!

Have you been to Alicebot.org, this is a different interface than bonsai buddy, more like a virtual intelligence, very interesting.
There is a place called Artificial Solutions in Sweden that has an alice bot named anna you can go talk to, try these see how you like them. dustyaz :)

Thanks for the ideas, I'll check them out. I'd heard of MS Agent but never realized what it was.

Alice could prove to be very interesting especially since the site I'm doing work for is non-profit.
