Hi

I'm looking for a hosting company in us and have found a few good one (I think) but one offers load ballanced servers which is appealing to me as they say 100% uptime which is important

1) Do you think 100% uptime is believable or should I expect no matter what downtime will occour?

2) I've also noticed a lot of kosters don't have shell access (including company mentioned above), which is something i like just for easy of use, but is shell a scurity risk or not. I think I may have to go without, but, apart from missing out on vi and standard shell commands(which i will miss) is there another disadvantage that i'm not thinking of

- 100% is believable but it depends on the company. The company I have used for years (4+) does it easily.

- SSH is a must for me and on my dedicated server has not been a security issue yet.
