How find e-mail boxes if I know the domain?

Hi,

Firs of all; my apologies to the crew at Webmaster World. I doubt this question belong here, and I'm probably breaching some kind of "posting codex", but I'm desperate to find out a.s.a.p.

Thing is I have to get a message through to some people in Singapore during this weekend (5-6 Jan) and all my attempts to send e-mails have failed. The addresses I've got are obviously wrong.

I'm searching for the various mail-boxes snipped url "xxx@domain". Is there a way to search?

Thanks in advance for tips. And my apologies again for taking advantage of this forum for a question that doesn't have anything to do with web hosting.

Hi Dan_Titan,

Unless the addresses are stored on the website, you'll be hard pushed to get them.

I don't mean to be sarky, but, have you tried phoning them to get the addresses?

You could always try webmaster@ or postmaster@ or info@ - these are useful generic addresses and you may get a reply with the e-mails you're after.

Hi engine,

You're not "sharky" and no offence taken. I've tried to call several numbers + fax. But it's weekend and no one is working....

I've also tried "info", "webmaster", and about 30-35 others. All are bouncing back undelivered.

do a whois on the domain and see who the contacts are. They often have valid email addresses there. Or, you can dig up a SOA record for the domain and see if there's a valid email address in there. (there is supposed to be, but it's less reliable than the addresses in whois.).
